Stephen Charles Brogdon, 65, of Elkhart, IN, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Monday, April 20, 2015 in his residence.
Stephen was born on December 15, 1949 in Mishawaka, IN to Earl and Betty M. (Gunnett) Brogdon. On May 31, 1986 at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in South Bend, Stephen married Deborah Y. Koch.
Deborah survives along with three children, Stephannie (Brett) Lowell of Skowhegan, ME., Heather Van Kirk of Elkhart and Stephen (Amber) of Elkhart, his father, Earl Brogdon of Elkhart, five grandchildren, Katarina, Brady, Kayden, Tristen and Camden, a sister, Lisa (Dennis) Maloney of Wakarusa, IN and a brother, Randy (Mary) Brogdon of Elkhart and he leaves behind countless nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty M. Brogdon.
Stephen was employed at Kruis Mold and Engineering where enjoyed singing and making his fellow employees laugh. He stopped and had his morning coffee everyday at the 7-11 on Toledo Road. His personality was very contagious and he touched the hearts of all that knew him. He enjoyed taking his dad to breakfast on Saturdays, watching movies, spending time with his kids and family. He was a loving and devoted husband, a wonderful caring person and even a better Dad and Papa. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Visitation for Stephen will be on Friday, April 24, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Matt Maloney officiating the funeral services with burial to follow at Olive Cemetery in Elkhart County. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family.
