Charles E. Cowsert
April 22, 1947 – October 16, 2019
Charles E. Cowsert, 72, of Mishawaka, passed away on Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, following an illness. Chuck married the woman of his dreams on November 13, 1965. Together, he and Mary R. (Hayden) Cowsert were the epitome of “Until Death do us part”. For 53 years, they were a living example of true love at its finest. Chuck and Mary were blessed with two children, Dawn (Skip) Williams and Kimberly Baum. Four grandchildren, Douglas (Ashley) Baum, Matthew (Kimberlyn) Baum, Mackenzie Baum-Zanotti and Falon (Kenny) Williams. One great grandson, Parker Baum and one great grandbaby on the way. Also surviving are two brothers, Frank Cowsert and Richard (Paula) Cowsert and several very special nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by both parents, Robert and Velma(Murphy) along with brothers, Jack, Robert, Joseph, Mike and sisters, Junnette, Shirlee and Louise. He worked at Dodge Manufacturing, AM General, and retired from the University of Notre Dame. Chuck was happiest when surrounded by his family. He enjoyed fishing, golf, bowling and watching old western reruns when Andy Griffith wasn’t on. His sense of humor and stories of “Back when I was a boy” will never be forgotten. Once you were a friend it was for life. Our sincere appreciation to the Whiff-Gunch-Shank Club as well as Don Zanotti, Rod Harness and Dick Ganser, just to name a few. Friends will be received from 3:00pm until 7:00pm on Monday, October 21st, 2019 at Bubb Funeral Chapel in Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 6:00pm on Monday at the Funeral Chapel. The family has requested that memorial contributions in Chuck’s name be made to the Diabetes Association.
George J. Choquette
March 1, 1935 – October 11, 2019
George J. Choquette, 84, of Granger, IN., formerly of Elkhart, IN., passed away at 9:15 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Hearth at Juday Creek.
George was born on March 1, 1935 in Mishawaka to George and Gladys (Farrell) Choquette. George married Phyllis A. Marlin, in February of 1956. Phyllis preceded George in death on March 25, 2003.
George is survived by his children, Mike (Lynn) Choquette, Brian (Julie) Choquette, Michele Choquette-Baker, Mindy (Mark) Jordan and Rick (Gail) Choquette, ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren along with a brother, Robert Choquette and a sister, Barb Albers.
George graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1953 and he worked as a systems analyst for Whitehall Labs in Elkhart. George coached Little League Baseball for over 25 years.

David Dale Dalke
June 6, 1952 – Oct. 11, 2019
David D. Dalke, 67, passed away Friday Oct. 11, 2019. He was born on June 6, 1952 at Hamilton Air Force base in Hamilton, California to the late Donovan and Deloris (Stratton) Dalke.
David lived in South Bend area most of his life. He was beloved by his family, and was the husband of Belinda; father of Megan (Trevor) Dougherty, Sara Dalke and proud grandfather to Maxwell and Jolene. David is also survived by brother Richard (Jaci) Dalke, Deborah (Craig) Brown and Dayna Dalke.
David graduated from LaSalle High School South Bend and received his Bachelors in Education from Purdue University. He was an avid sports fan and loved nothing more than his three girls. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was currently working for Sherwin Williams. Friends will be received from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, October 17th, 2019 at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana.

Melbadeane M. Koz
May 11, 1924 – October 12, 2019
Melbadeane M. Koz, 95, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at her residence, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 12th, 2019. She was born in Coulterville,Illinois to Ellsworth and Maude Kelly who both preceded her in death along with her brother, Patrick Kelly. As Melbadeane Kelly, she married Donald Joseph Koz in South Bend. He died February 12th,2001. She was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp , serving honorably in World War 2 as a Corporal. She was a member of St. Anthony De Padua Catholic Church in South Bend and School Men’s Wives. She was a proud Irish-Catholic lady who loved her heritage, Notre Dame University, faith, family and friends. She retired as a Retail Manager for Parklane Hosiery Corporation. She is survived by her five children: Kathi Begley of South Bend, Kerry Koz of Argos, Indiana, Donna (Gary) Birchler of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Deb (Robert) Fox of South Bend and Marilyn Stacy of South Bend. Nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. One sister-in-law survives, Lorraine Plefka of Mishawaka and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Melbadeane will be held at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana on Thursday, October 17th, 2019 at 3:00pm. Friends will be received from 1:00pm until the time of the funeral service at 3:00pm on Thursday. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Center for Hospice in lieu of flowers.
